How To Remove Fingernail Polish Stains From Wool
Wool generally should be dry cleaned. Always follow garment label instructions when pretreating and laundering your clothes. For colored garments, test an inside seam for colorfastness.
If the garment is washable, place stain face down on paper towels and blot with nail polish remover. Replace paper towels regularly. Repeat until stain disappears; then rinse and launder. Avoid cleaning wool with laundry products containing enzymes. Note: Some polishes may be impossible to remove. If dry clean only, take it to the dry cleaner for stain removal.
