How To Remove Gravy Stains From Wool
Wool generally should be dry cleaned. Always follow garment label instructions when pretreating and laundering your clothes. For colored garments, test an inside seam for colorfastness.
If the garment is washable, for gravy stains apply Purex® Complete with Zout® detergent, saturate the stain, rub detergent into the stain in both directions of the fabric weave (that is hold cloth in one orientation rub cloth together where stain is, rotate cloth 90 degrees in hands – rub together cloth where stain is). To make absolutely sure stain is removed, especially if it is old – rinse after rubbing above, reapply Purex® Complete with Zout® to stain and repeat rubbing – then let stain sit for a few minutes and then place in washer.
