How To Remove Perspiration Stains From Wool
Wool generally should be dry cleaned. Always follow garment label instructions when pretreating and laundering your clothes. For colored garments, test an inside seam for colorfastness.
If the garment is washable, pretreat stain with Purex® Complete with Zout® detergent or Fels Naptha laundry bar soap. If the color of the garment has changed slightly, apply ammonia to fresh stain or white vinegar to an older stain. Rinse, then launder with Purex® detergent and a color safe bleach in the warmest water recommend on the garment label. Avoid cleaning wool with laundry products containing enzymes. If dry clean only, take it to the dry cleaner for stain removal.
